Allows you to tune into and join the sound, for a holistic massage of the body, to achieve relaxation and integration. Extra long strings create a deep calming sound carpet with 2 Octaves and 3 sound qualities. For the tuning, the instrument can be turned around ist axes, by loosening 4 screws. Now the instrument can be played actively, for example with single bridges as a Koto, diatonic or chromatic tuned. It can also be played with a violin bow. Sound massage is in times of music therapy and wellness a very popular and worldwide used technique for relaxation. This technique is combined with various kinds of therapies for all kinds of handicaps.
Sound Massage Bed is equipped with a monochord (mono=one, cord=string) at the curved bottom side, tuned in C sharp. This tone is spread over 35 blanc and 35 spun strings with an interval of one octave. This way you create an endless sound carpet when playing the strings.
This sound permanently created by the player and the resonance inside the body gives anyone lying in the Sound Couch the impression to be time- and spaceless. The resting person quickly calms down and enters a space of deep relaxation. Because of the sensing of the sound and the resonance the focus shifts from the outer impulses to what happens inside oneself. It’s not necessary to hear anything, so this therapy is even suitable for deaf people.
The Sound Couch is continuously adjustable in the height. The tuning is easy with a common tuner and stays for a long time very stable.
