Stomping Tube Set
Stomping tubes were developed by Ingo Böhme. Boing was awarded the third place prize for this instrument at the 1996 World Congress for Musictheraphy in Hamburg. Hold one of the tubes in each hand and stomp them hard on a soft surface. If you play them alone you experience the vibration of the tube in your hand and hear a deep humming sound. They are great for groups of people. The tubes‘ humming waves together and you can pass on different rhythm to each other.
The red tubes are sized for children’s hands, blue tubes are for grown ups. There are 5 different pitches available.

In a group of 30 people, we stomp together with our stomping tubes. First slowly and then more and more powerfully, till the whole room starts to hum and the ceiling reflects an organ- like sound back to us.
